What Do You Want For Christmas?

What do you want for Christmas? We've all been asked and often times fail to come up with an answer on the spot. If you're anything like me, I accumulate a lot of "wants" during the year that quickly fade out of memory. I'm sure my husband...and my wallet would thank me for that! This year has been no different so I decided to use Pinterest to solve that problem. I made a board entitled "Lovely Little Things" where I pin items that I'd like to buy for myself or get as a gift. What makes this so great is how user friendly it is. I make sure to pin the item from the website where you can buy it. I also include the color and size if applicable. This makes it so easy for a friend, husband, or family member to click on the picture and be directed straight to the item. It takes all the guess work out of gift buying! Not only is it easy for them, but you will receive a gift that you will like and enjoy. So next time someone asks you what you'd like for Christmas or your birthday, just direct them to your Pinterest board!

As you can tell, there isn't much on my board as of right now, but this coming year I plan on adding more when I see something that I like. By next Christmas, there should be plenty of options. I'll be sure to share my updated board with you all then.

Just as a side note, this "wishlist" strategy of sorts has already worked out well for me. I had pinned a Kate Spade purse on there a while back and my sweet husband got it for me as a wedding gift! So get to pinning ladies!

Door Decor - Fall Wreath Style

Call me crazy, but I had to document our first fall wreath...or any door decoration for that matter. Ever since we got married, a little more than 2 months ago, I've been trying to slowly decorate and make the apartment feel more like home. Since we've officially said goodbye to summer and hello to fall temperatures all I can think about are pumpkins, warm cozy blankets, and fall scented candles.
I made this burlap wreath last year and added a bow made from pretty fall ribbon that my sweet mother brought to me. I like the simplicity of it. It works well for fall and adds a little spice to our door without being too much. Insert the old saying "less is more" here!
If you are looking for a wreath similar to this, it is quite easy to make your own. I found a tutorial on Youtube that shows you how to make the wreath. All you need is a wire wreath frame, burlap garland, and pipe cleaners or wire which can be found at any craft store. Then just find some pretty fall ribbon to make a bow and you're good to go!
